Have found the name David Andrew COUDLE, born in 1946 in Runnels County.
The name is so rare, I believe we must be related somehow. We knew nothing
of my Father's family. His name was William COUDLE. Anyone with any information,
please contact me. If I can do lookups for anyone from here in Las Vegas,
I will be glad to give it a try, though I'm really new at this.

This is my REDMAN family....I have many questions and areas with missing
information. Is there a cousin out there who can help fill in some of my
blanks!? I grew up with some of my cousins but at that time didn't know how
they were related or that they were related to me. I am in contact with cousins
in Cleburne, Texas and we are working together on our LECK and REDMAN line.
One cousin has numerous photos of some of the Redman line.

Searching for information on my great-grandfather in Runnels County. He was
born about 1833 in North Carolina. He served in the Civil War as a Confederate
soldier in Co. A, 28th Tennessee Infantry. He married Joann D. GALLOWAY on
July 16, 1868 in Maury County, Tennessee. They had five children, William,
Martin L., Cora D., Margaret, and Dillon Christopher. They came to Texas
and were found on the Coleman County, Texas census in 1880. Someone who is
also researching the DANNELLEY's was shown a book by someone at the Ballinger
County Clerk's Office called "Runnels County Pioneers," which lists Confederate
veterans. It gave DANNELLEY, S.G. Pvt, Co A 28th TN Inf. buried in Paint
Rock Cemetery, at Eden in Concho Co., TX. In another book, "In Remembrance,"
published by the Runnels County Historical Commission a listing was found
of my great-grandmother, DANNELLEY, Joe Ann wife of S.G. b 2 Dec 1852 d 7
Aug 1913, buried in the Evergreen Cemetery in Ballinger. What I really !
need is someone who could possibly take a look at the book, Runnels County
Pioneers, and tell me if it lists Swain's dates of birth and death. Also,
I have corresponded with the man who keeps the list of burials at Paint Rock,
and he has said he has not been able to find a grave for Swain G. DANNELLEY
listed in that cemetery. Any help with this would be very appreciated.

FINCH, GREEN,
LEWIS posted by Cynthia
Corbett on Saturday, July 15, 2000
-
I am looking for a Thomas B. GREEN, marriage certificate (1971) states he
was 71 years of age, the bride, Henrietta FINCH LEWIS (a widow) was 59. They
were married in Runnels Co. The couple divorced 7 Oct 1976 and the divorce
record (online) states the husband was 70 (younger than he was when he got
married!). It is within the realm of possibility he may still be alive, but
I doubt this. Henrietta is now deceased (Winters, Runnels, TX) and of course
there were no children. However, I do recall (it was like a bolt of lightening
hit me!) that the reason for the divorce was a fuss by Henrietta's church
when they discovered they were cousins! I've had no luck researching Finch
family in Runnels Co. and am hoping that the GREEN name will increase my
odds. Can anyone furnish any info? This is my son's father's line.

Hello. I have now found more information on my great-grandfather, Swain G.
DANNELLEY and his children in Runnels County, Texas. His daughter Margaret
Eugenia (Lou Gena) married J. F. COATS/COATES on 9 Feb 1896 in Runnels County.
She died 19 Aug 1915 (maybe in Runnels County). His other daughter, Cora
Arteak DANNELLEY married J. T. STUART/STEWARD on 30 Oct 1887 in Runnels County.
She died in Ballinger on 9 Jun 1915. Would very much like to locate information
on the COATS/COATES and STUART/STEWART families. His son Dillon C. (my
grandfather) married Hetty J. HOOTEN on 12 Nov 1899 in Coke County, although
their marriage license was obtained in Runnels County. Am trying to locate
information on her death and burial (before 1910) and on her parents. Have
minimal information on a J.B. HOOTEN and would like to know if he is related
to Hetty. Hetty was supposed to have died in a fire in a hotel along with
one of her children. I only have information on three children, but t! here
may have been four or five born to Hetty and Dillon between 1900 and 1910.
The ones I have are Verna (abt. 1905), Ena Dillon (1906), and Carmer Edgar
(1908). Would like to know Verna's exact DOB is possible, as well as the
name(s) and DOB's of any other children born to Hetty and Dillon. I believe
all of their children were born in Ballinger. I have a receipt for Dillon
for service in the United States Volunteer Army for service in the
Spanish-American War that states that he lived in Robert Lee, Coke County,
Texas.

Searching Runnels County, Texas for descendants of James Madison and Margery
(HARDIN) McCANDLESS of Meltonsville, Marshall County, Alabama, who resided
there in the 1830s and 1850s, but some members of that Family came to Texas
in 1853, and later. Perhaps some of those Texas McCANDLESS Descendants may
have, or might be, "Researching" their 'ggg' or 'gggg'-Ancestry today? I
would be thrilled to hear from some of those McCANDLESS 'Researchers'. What
was the 'Maiden'-name of "Margery McCANDLESS"??
