EVANS, WALKER posted by James Gunnels on Wednesday, January 13, 1999: Walker EVANS and family w Anne EVANS came to Runnels County near 1900 and both died there in the early 1930s. Some of their children were, Earl and Melvin.


PARKER, PHILLIPS posted by Monty Heying on Wednesday, January 13, 1999: I'm trying to determine if the Bonnie PARKER of Rowena, TX, who died of gunshot in 1934, is the same Bonnie PARKER in my lineage, who was the daughter of Tully Alberto PARKER and Annie PHILLIPS. My Bonnie was the middle of two siblings named Jessie and Tully Alberto, junior.


JACKSON, MCANALLY posted by Ann Wise on Thursday, January 14, 1999: I need help! John R. JACKSON b May 1865 lived in the Ballinger area. He supposedly died at 104 yrs old. My husbands relatives have stated that there was a newspaper article about him ( before or after death?) but they have lost it. He may have died in Big Springs TX but definitely lived in the Ballinger area, possibly with a grandson named Clarence MCANALLY. If he did live to 104 yrs, he possibly died about 1969. I have checked the funeral home there in Ballinger and they have no record of him. I doubt if he has a tombstone because no one in the family seemed to think enough of him to erect one. I have been told that he was as mean as a snake. If anyone remembers this man please email me.

He was involved in the ?grocery business? in Ballinger. His wife, Mary Elinor LUSK died 19 Feb 1945 and is also buried in the Evergreen cemetary. James is the son of Alfred T. My ggrandmother, Lucy DALE, and great uncles John W. DALE and William M. HOPE were said to have lived and died in the DALE Community. William's son Charlie HOPE also lived there. Does anyone know the name of Carrie and John W. DALE's son? Only initials are listed in the 1910 census and they aren't clear.

After her husband Johnathan KOLB died in 1872 in Ellis Co. TX. She moved with her daugther and son in law, Andrew Jackson and Susan Adline KOLB ROSSON to Runnels Co. Tx. Does anyone know where she is buried? Sponsor Remarks: Sarah Kolb is buried in the Counts Cemetery in northeastern Runnels County. It is located on the west side of Tx Hwy 382. A.J. and Susan Rosson are also buried there.
