On the 1880 census is: (1)James L. DAVIS(1839) wife Martha GARRISON; (2)William DAVIS(1848) wife Martha WELCHEL: (3) Marion DAVIS(1855) living with his mother Sarah DAVIS; (4) John E. DAVIS(1844) with his second wife Rachel GIBBS TAYLOR; another brother George W. DAVIS (1838),m. Amanda MONDS does not appear on the 1880 census but is on the 1900 census..

My grandmother,Jimmie GOSSETT BROWN, came to Runnels County with her father,Lawson Randolph GOSSETT in the early twenties. I need any information on him. All I have is that he was born in Lafayette County, Mississippi in 1854. Any information will be appreciated.

BROWN, MARTIN posted by Debbie Johnson on Monday, December 14, 1998: I am looking for information concerning John James (J.J.) MARTIN. He was a North Runnels County pioneer. I have no information about his parents, siblings, etc. He married Avis Cordellia BROWN (?) and they had my grandmother, Annie Lou Martin. J.J. and Avis both died in Runnels County. If you have any info, please help! Thanks for your time!

She married Thomas Riley SHELBURNE on 15-Oct-1853 in Lauderdale Co Alabama. The Shelburnes lived in Runnels County TX after they were married. Does anyone know anything about this family.
