Archibald ROBERTS and wife Nancy THARP, migrated from Chickasaw Co., MS in
1844 to Shelby Co., TX, then by mid-1850s to Bosque Co., then by 1860 to
Brown Co. Some of their children and grandchildren went to Runnels Co. They
were cattlemen around Brownwood. Some names: Levi, Burl (sheriff of Brownwood
in late 1850s; killed in gunfight), Josiah, William Amos (killed in range
war), Archibald, Jr., Sarah. Would like to exchange info. Eric Newsom

I am the great grandson of S. D. (Samuel) WILLIAMS, who moved to West Texas
in 1890 and was the editor of one of the leading newspapers. I want to know
the name of that paper and any other information about S. D. WILLIAMS. I
know that he was on the County Board of Education until the time of his death
in 1932.

Seeking info about the family of John Wesley GANNAWAY (b. 1847 MS) and his
wife Margaret Emily BEAVER (b. 1857 GA, grew up TX, Dallas Co., Garland)
who moved to Wingate, Runnels Co. soon after their 1873 marriage and reared
a large family there. Would like to connect with descendents of any of their
children, and combine work on histoy of John Wesley.

was Elizabeth. Children are Benny MCDANIEL, David Jefferson MCDANIEL, Martin
Van Buren MCDANIEL, Francis L. MCDANIEL, Nancy J. MCDANIEL, Rhoda MCDANIEL,
Susan MCDANIEL, Marion Thomas MCDANIEL and Jonathan MCDANIEL. David Jefferson
MCDANIEL wife, Minnie, is buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Ballinger, Runnels
County. Surnames include FOX and MCDANIEL. Any information would be helpful.

Looking for the family of John Homer HUDSON born 1816 in Georgia, died 18
June 1896. He lived in Milford (Hill Co. Tx.) I think he may have moved to
Runnels Co. to live with his children and may have died in Ballinger? Children:
W. Preston, Ozella, Mary, Robert, Mira, Rowland born 1861, Annie Sue, Georgia
Belle, Charles, Dollie, John Homer, Katherine, and Europia. Some of the family
lived in Jones Co. Tx.

I am looking for infomation abt my gg-grandparents, (Andrew)Anders PETERSEN
b. abt 1827 in Sweden & Nancy Jo PENDLETON b. abt 1850 & m. abt 1875.
Last found record is 1918 Land Deed. No death record yet found in Texas or
California. They had 5 children:(1)Annie m. JOHNSON in 1901(they ran a tele-
phone system in Crews, TX)& m. MOSS in 1926. (2) Gertrude m. JOHNSON
1896 & moved to Canada 1914; (3) Andrew m. PITTMAN 1904 & moved to
Canada 1914 & ret to TX soon after. (4) King David m. JONES 1907 &
had ? 3 children; (5) John - d. in infancy. Thanks

I am looking for any information on the HINKLE family. They lived in Miles,
Texas from the late 1800's to around 1940. John William HINKLE was President
of the Miles Printing Company, the company who printed the Miles Messenger
(still in print today). John William and his wife, Sarah GILLILAND, and a
daughter, Cloa Alice HINKLE are all buried at the Miles Interment Cemetery.

John and Sarah are my great-grandparents on my father's side.

Searching for family of Nancy NEELEY FLINT, wife of George Washington FLINT.
Nancy b. 1841 in IL dau of Houston and Sarah DUNAWAY NEELEY. Family in Grimes
Co, TX by 1860. Children of Nancy and G.W. were Mary, Harriet, Wiley, George,
W. Plummer and C. Terrell. Left Grimes County in 1880's for Tom Green Co.
Nancy died there in 1886 at San Angelo. Believe G.W. remarried but no info
on that family. Have much NEELEY information to share.
