M. J. Brown Dead Mrs. M. J. Brown, died at her home on Fourteenth Street Sunday night at six o'clock. Mrs. Brown was 71 years old. She is one of the early settlers of Ballinger. Her husband, Sam Brown, died several years ago. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Joe Spoonts, who was at her bedside when death came. The funeral services were conducted at four o'clock Monday afternoon, the services being conducted by Rev. W. H. Doss and interment taking place in the city cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. Spoonts have the sympathy of their friends in their breavement(sic).
