Flay BrevardFlay Brevard, 80, died Saturday, January 30, 1988, at a local hospital. Services will be at 4 pm Monday at the First United Methodist Church with the Revs. Bobby Baggett and Winford Gore officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, directed by Rains-Seales Funeral Home. Born in Runnels County, he was a lifelong resident. He was an electrician for an oil company and was a farmer and rancher in the Blanton community. A member of the First United Methodist Church, he was a member of the Doss Bible Class and the Board of Stewards. He was a former trustee of the Blanton School District and a past member of the Ballinger Noon Lions Club. Survivors include his wife, Bernice Hale Brevard, of Ballinger; a daughter, Janie Jones, of Ballinger; two sons, Weldon Brevard of Ballinger and David Brevard of Houston; a sister, Mildred Pittman, of Belton; and four grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, or a favorite charity. |
