Mrs. Sears Dies at 91Ballinger (RNS) - Mrs. Sam O. Sears, 91, died at 6:30 pm Monday in the Ballinger Memorial Hospital. She had been hospitalized since Sunday morning. Funeral services will be held at 3pm Wednesday at the Allen Davis Chapel with Rev. J. Martin Harrison, pastor of Church of the Nazarene here. Burial will be in the Old Runnels Cemetery. Born Eva Rebecca Brown March 26, 1877 in Williamson County, she came from there to Runnels County in 1879. She had been living in Ballinger since 1887. She married Joseph L. Spoonts in 1904 in Ballinger. He died in 1942. She married Sam O. Sears in 1952. he died in 1956. She was a member of the Nazarene church. Survivors include one daughter (snip), one stepdaughter (snip); three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. |
