PEOPLE:
The baby boy that was found on the river bank on March 20, 1905, where it had been left by an unnatural mother has been adopted by Mr. and Mrs. TEAGUE.

Joe E. WRIGHT, son of H. Taylor WRIGHT, the carpenter, arrived from Grosebeck this week.

J. A. BATES went to Fort Worth yesterday to annex himself to a base ball team.

There will be a debate at the Courthouse next Monday and Tuesday between Rev. J. S. NEWMAN, Primitive Baptist and Rev. E. O. COLLY, Christian Firm Foundation.

W. T. PADGETT is improving the looks of his home this week by putting up a new picket fence.

Miss May CUMBIE opens a millinery shop in Bronte, Texas

C. E. BOWDEN is building quite an addition to his residence in West End.

Constable B. W. PILCHER took charge of the waif and if the mother does not come to claim it, the child will be put in good hands to keep and provide for.

The writer took a trip to Coleman City last week, seeing a good deal of the country and more of the city. The citizens of Coleman City, as a rule a deserving people, deserve all kinds of luck and prosperity in the coming year.

WANTED: The progressive citizens of Ballinger are united in the desire to have and to hold a good brass band.

SCHOOL NEWS:
The Ballinger School District includes territory within the Corporate limits of the town, and the river survey. On the South side, namely: Demmer, Fomun, Paupe, Klinger, Wagner, and Wolfgang. The area on north side of river being about two and one-half miles north and about five and one-half miles east and west, containing about sixteen thousand acres.

The seven trustees shall be resident citizens and free holders having resided within the district for six months next preceding the date of election, whose term of office shall be two years.  Judge M. C. SMITH
