It is very befitting that Nancy is listed between Jonathan W. & Robert Terrell on this list, because it exemplifies her life. She was married to both men, who were distant cousins. They all three lived their lives dedicated to making Kaufman County a good place to live. Nancy was the daughter of William & Nacy Kirk Love. She was born in Hardeman Co TN 29 Feb 1829 and was in Texas by 1842 when she was 13 years old. She married Jonathan W. Terrell in Kaufman County on 04 May 1854. (**See his own page) They lived in the Abner (Johnson's Point) area of the county. After Jonathan's death Nancy married Robert Adam Terrell, the man the town of Terrell Texas is named for, on 09 Apr 1868. (**See his own page) Nancy became the "mother" to Robert's children, who ranged in age from 5-20 when they married. She also nursed Robert, who suffered with consumption before his death. They lived in Robert's infamous "round house", an octagonal-shaped structure he built during the Civil War era (shown in the picture, above). Nancy died 16 Oct 1894 and is buried in Oakland Cemetery in Terrell, Kaufman Co TX, next to Jonathan, her children & grand-children. Her tombstone reads: "Blessed are the Dead which die in the Lord, The children of Nancy Amelia (Love) Terrell:
