Napolean Bonaparte "Minky" Nash

   N. B. Nash was born 2 Jul 1838 in San Augustine, Republic of Texas, son of William and Louisa Nash.  Like his brothers Herbert, Lewellyn and Charles, his schooling was minimal as an adolescent, learning more from frontier life than from books.  All his life he was called "Minky" by family and friends.

In 1852 he relocated with his family from the forests of east Texas to the prairie of Kaufman County.  He married 4 May 1859 to Texana Morrow.
