Ephraim Goss was born 12 Aug 1816 NC, son of Daniel Goss & Martha Ingram.

     He married Rebecca Johns, 16 February 1837 in Morgan Co IN.  She was born 4 January 1820 in NC, died 15 Jan 1884 in Kaufman Co TX & is buried in Old Kiser cemetery at Heath, in Rockwall Co TX.

     Ephraim & Rebecca came to Texas in 1845 with other settlers from Indiana, mainly the Beck & Henry families.  They had four children with them who were born in IN & had four more children after their arrival in Kaufman County.  They settled in the northern portion of the county that became Rockwall County.

     After Rebecca's death Ephraim married Mary Jane Ham 9 Oct 1884 in Waxahachie, Ellis Co, TX.

     In the 1890's Ephraim returned to IN, where he died in 1904 at Seymour, Jackson Co, IN.
