Nancy Harris was born 1784 in NC. She is believed to be the eldest daughter of Drury Harris and Priscilla Womack, who were married 12 Dec 1783. Oddly, that date, and the date 25 Dec 1783 are given as Nancy's birth date on some documents and on her tombstone. On 27 Jun 1797 Nancy married Dempsey Henry Fuller in Granville Co NC. He was born 1771 in NC, son of Jones Fuller & Ann Mann. It is not known when he died, but it was between 1840 and 1850. Ironically, his father, Jones Fuller, married Nancy's mother, Priscilla Womack Harris after Drury Harris died in 1799 and Jones' 2nd wife Sarah Bradford died around 1800. Dempsey and Nancy are enumerated on the 1800, 1810, 1820 & 1830 Granville Co NC Census records and on the 1840 Wake Co NC Census. It is not known exactly how many children Nancy gave birth to during her life. Records indicate she came to Texas as a widow in 1844 with 4 sons and 2 daughters, applied for and received 640 acres of land through Mercer's Colony. Three of her sons also received land through Mercer's, along with her two sons-in-law. Their land was located in both Kaufman and Van Zandt Counties. MERCER'S COLONY CERTIFICATE INFO

Hannah Beck played an important role in the Fuller family, being married to 2 of Nancy Fuller's sons and raising three of Nancy's grandchildren. She was the daughter of John J Beck and came to Texas in 1845. Of all the Beck daughters, the Fuller family women, and compared to most of the women of the era, Hannah was considered to be very intelligent and liberal-minded.
Hannah could read and write, something Nancy Fuller could not do. But more impressive is the fact that Hannah made a bold move at an early stage in her life - she divorced her first husband, something unheard of in that period.
Hannah first married Jesse Zink in 1841 at Washington Co IN when she was only seventeen years old. Hannah & Jesse came to Texas with John Beck's group and Jesse signed for land in Mercer's Colony with most of the other men of that group on January 22, 1845. Jesse's land was located in what is now southern Henderson County and it is not believed Hannah ever lived with her husband on that land, for apparently they became estranged shortly after arriving in the Republic of Texas. Some researchers even speculate that their marriage may have been unstable from the beginning, and that the pair may not have been living as husband and wife while on their way to Texas or even before they left Indiana. It is also speculated that they remained married "on paper" so Jesse could qualify for 320 acres of land he obtained in Mercer's Colony.
A divorce for the pair is recorded in Henderson County Civil Records, Vol. 1, p. 196, dated May 1846, for a J. E. Zink and Mrs. H. Zink. The divorce was finalized in 1848.
In 1850 Hannah married Alsey Fuller, a widower. He died in 1852 and Hannah was the Administrator of his estate. She and his two children were his sole heirs and Hannah inherited his land in Van Zandt County at a place called Tick Ridge, located just west of what is now Wills Point, and east of Elmo. Listed as a Suretor to Hannah's bond for serving as the executor of her husband's estate, was Alcey's brother, Henry Fuller. In 1855 Hannah married Henry Fuller and they had a son together and raised Alsey's 2 children.
