Bethany Brewer

Submitted by Kathey Kelley Hunt

Bethany Brewer came to Texas when it was still under the rule of Mexico.  Her father was an early settler in Nacogdoches.

She was born 30 Mar 1808, daughter of Henry Brewer and Susannah Mitchell.

She married William Taylor Brewer in Hinds Co MS circa 1830.  See his page and details on their Children HERE.

Bethany died in 1867, proven by her Probate filed in Kaufman County 1 Jan 1870, file # NCN225 with her son Kinion K Brewer as Executor.
*NOTE: for many years researchers listed her year of death as 18576, this was proven to be incorrect when her probate was located in 1999.

She is buried in the Old Brewer Family Cemetery.  At one time there was a tombstone marking her grave, however some time between Feb 1997 and March 1999 the tombstone has been taken from the site.
