YOUNG LADY SHOT.

Unknown Assailant Inflicts Severe
Wound in Thigh.

SPECIAL TO THE NEWS.
  Terrell, Tex., Oct. 1.--Miss Tessie Drumgold, a young lady of this city, the daughter of Mrs. Mary Drumgold, living on North Frances street, was shot and severely wounded by some unknown assailant tonight about 9 o'clock.  Miss Drumgold had been out of the house but a moment when a shot was heard.  She was found to have been shot in the thigh, the ball making a severe flesh wound.  Officers are looking for her assailant, but no arrest has been made so far.
