Almost desperately searching for information
on George Washington PATTON, born 21 Feb 1835 in Mississippi. My mother
interviewed his granddaughter, and was told he died in the North Texas
Hospital for the Insane in Terrell (Kaufman County), Texas on 3 Aug 1893.
No other descendant has heard this tale, or now knows where he (and his
wife, Anna Eliza BLACKMORE) were buried. Thanks for any help, Ryan

Darling MCGRAW who married Sarah BENNETT in Kaufman Co.on 1 Jan 1883. Sarah
was the daughter of Isaac and Malinda BENNETT. The BENNETTs farmed near
King's Creek near Terrell. I would be glad to share what I have on these

I am seeking info on Claudia Adila PRICE FERGERSON
and John Fergerson. Claudia was married to John Fergerson and they lived
in nearby Quinlan, Texas where John owned a feed store. The store burnt
to the ground in 1940 Claudia died in a Terrell hospital ( name and date
unknown ) Soon after her death John moved to Terrell.

ESTILL, T. W. (Thomas William or Wallace) living
with wife Elizabeth in Kaufman County in 1880. He married Elizabeth Ballard
on Jan. 8, 1878 in Eastland County, Texas. He supposely was born in Kentucky
and his parents born in Virginia He was born about 1850 and Elizabeth was
born about 1860. I am trying to get any information on Thomas ESTILL and
when he died. He had a daughter that they named Martha Francis ESTILL.
We believed he must have died somewhere in the 1880's. Any information
on Thomas ESTILL would be appreciated.

Looking for information on immediate and related
famlies of Dora Talula HENDERSON b. 21 Mar 1878 in Palestine, Anderson
Co., Tx. Dora was the grand-daughter of Daniel HENDERSON (b. 1822 in SC)
and Martha M. THORTIN(?) (b. 1831 in AL). Dora was the daughter of James
Henry HENDERSON (b. 7 Jul 1850 in Attalla Co. MS) and Lorenda Ann BROWN
(b. 24 Aug 1852 in Anderson Co., Tx).
Dora married John Frank WATKINS (b. 25 Jul 1872
in Marshall, Harrison Co, Tx). Dora had at least 8 children
that I know of: Robert Edward, William Jackson Madison Powell (1 person),
an un- name infant, Henry Marris, John Frank, Malcom Leon, Mildred Evlyn
(my grandmother), and E.B. I know that the family was in Rusk county for
a time, then moved to Kaufman county, where several of the children were
born.
Dora died in or around 1952. I have a fair amount
of info in the children, but this is about all the information I have on
my great- grandmother.

WREN and Mary F. GILLUM who came to Kaufman Co. in the mid 1870s from Lincoln
Co. MO. Their daughter SarahcAnn Elizabeth came to Texas at the same time.

J. DODDS, GG-Grandmother Galitha (JORDAN) DODDS. They moved to Kaufman
Co. abt 1860 from Anderson Co. Their fourth child my G-Grandfather
Samuel Johnson DODDS married Sarah Elizabeth AIKEN in 1862 Kaufman Co TX.
They had 7 Children and lived there until the late 1870s. James J. DODDS
died in 1864, Galitha died in 1866 in Kaufman Co. Please send any info

Although my uncle James STANLEY was believed
to have died in the Civil War, there is a James F. STANLEY on the 1870
census in Kaufman Co. who looks as if he could be my uncle. He is married
to Susan E. (it looks like she might be a SHOOK) and is found on page 25B.
My James STANLEY's closest sibling was living in the Van Zandt Co. in 1860,
the next county over. Can anyone tell me anything about the James STANLEY
who lived in Kaufman Co. in 1870?

She died abt 1912. Her only daughter Ida G. NALL died abt 1901 at the age
of 2. Both are supposedly buried around Forney. According to family, the

Looking for information on the following HIGGS
family. James "Jim" A. HIGGS b. Feb. 1873, Ar. Married to Emma possibly
in Kaufman Co., Tx. They were in Oklahoma in 1900. Possibly only one child
named Isham HIGGS. Also a sister to Jim, was Martha A. HIGGS b. 1872, Ar.
married Joe? BLANKENSHIP. Some of their children were Lena, Effie, Marshall
and Frank. Another of the family was Nancy Delila "Lila" HIGGS b. 12/1/1884
who married Robert GILCREASE. Children were David, Harvey, Clifton, Dora.
This family probably lived around Anona, Tx. Also looking for information
on Sarah Elizabeth "Lizzie" HIGGS b. 11/17/1887/88 in Ark. She was married
to Bert or Byrd ESTALL. Some of the children were James, Claude, Carol
Lee and Marvin. These were children of James Marshall "Dock" HIGGS and
his first wife Nancy C. STONE. Dock and his last wife, Harriett 'DICUS'
HIGGS moved to Texas from Arkansas in the late 1800's, moving to Kaufman
Co. and later into Fannin Co.
Any information you can supply would be appreciated.

I am looking for information on the GILKEY family
of Kaufman County. I have some information but would lke to correspond
with others looking at the GILKEY or related families. They lived outside
of Forney until the 1930's or 1940's.

I am looking for descendants of George W. HARREL
b. 1847 in Macon County, Illinois, and his wife Sarah E. b. abt 1860 in
Texas. They are listed in the 1900 and 1910 Census as living in Terrell,
Kaufman County, Texas. The census showed four children, Estell b. 1888,
Albert S. b. 1889, Anna Lee b. 1893 and Jennie b. 1899. The 1920 census
shows only Sarah E. with a son named Sidney. "Albert S. HARREL" and "Sidney
HARREL" may be the same person. I know about their ancestors. I am looking
for George W. HARREL's descendants.
