"Uncle Henry" Wikle Dead
Funeral Services Held at Corrine, Utah,
Thursday of this week

Uncle Henry Wikle died at his home in Corrine, Utah on Tuesday of this week after a sickness lasting several weeks.  Uncle Henry was back here a few months ago and at that time it was noticeable that he was rapidly declining in health.  He was eighty-five years of age at the time of his death.
It was back yonder in the sixties that the four Wikle brothers Jeptha, Marion, Henry and John H came to Kansas from Texas.  They all settled along the Neosho River, just south of Erie.  Jeptha has been dead many years; John H has been residing in Kansas City for several years; Marion resides over in Walnut Grove tonwship.  Uncle Henry was the last of the Wikle boys to leave his river bottom farm and that was only three years ago.  He went from here to Utah and his wife died shortly afterwards and was buried in the cemtery at Corrine.  Uncle Henry was a Mason, having been a member of the Erie Masonic Lodge since it's organization and the Masonic Lodge at Corrine had charge of his funeral service yesterday.  Uncle Henry Wikle was a mighty good citizen and his death will be keenly felt by all his old pioneer friends in this community.
