H. L. WHEAT OF EUSTACE DIES


H. L. Wheat, 79, died Thursday at his home in Eustace after a lengthly illness.

He was born in Bell County, and moved to Mabank at an early age.  He spent most of his life in Mabank, and moved to Eustace several years ago.

Survivors are his wife, six daughters,  Mrs H. A. Scarburough of Mont Belvieu,  Mrs F. E. Spence of Livingston,  Mrs. R.J.Pelford of Freer, Mrs A. F. Evans, Jr. of Houston, Mrs R. C. Busby of Tyler, Mrs. G Warren of Beaumont and two sons, Robert L. Wheat of Mt Camey and Maurice Wheat of Mabank, one sister, Mrs. Betty Murrell  of Dallas and 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held Saturday at 2:30 PM from the First Baptist Church at Eustace with the Rev. T. C. Jones and Rev. J. M. Lee officiating and burial was in Mabank City Cemetery.  Henry Eubank and Sons Funeral Home in Charge.
