J. A. Scheske
J.A. Scheske passed away at the home of Julius Black, 210 Bradshaw street, about 3:30 this morning. He had been in ill health for a number of years following a stroke, yet he was able to be about the place. He had another light stroke about noon Thursday, but was feeling better in the evening and quite cheerful at bed time, but expired in his sleep during the earlier morning. The body was removed to Anderson-Clayton Bros. funeral home, where it will remain until the funeral hour. The service is announced to be held in the Ables Springs Methodist church at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon with the pastor conducting the service. Active pallbearers will be selected from among his old friends in that community, where he had lived over a long period.
