Mrs. Andrew Jones Passes at Arcadia home

Mrs. Andrew Jones passed away at the family home in the Arcadia community Sunday night. Funeral services were held at the Elm Grove Church at 2:00p.m. Monday with Dalton Porter, a minister of the Church of Christ, officiating. Burial was in the Elm Grove Cemetery.

Mrs. Ellen Frances Jones was born in Chicago, Ill. on December 19, 1872, and was 81 years, 9 months and 28 days of age at the time of her death. It was on July 6, 1890, that she was married to Andrew Jones. Five years later Mr. and Mrs. Jones moved to Kaufman County and have lived in the Arcadia community for many years.

Mrs. Jones is survived by her husband, four daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Vaughn of Laredo, Texas; Mrs. Vinnie Clark, Rt. 2, Kemp; Mrs. Esther Moore and Mrs. Letha Gregory of Houston; six sons, Fred Jones of Dallas, Ivon Jones of Mabank, Milton and Earl Jones of Kemp, Alfred Jones of Grand Prairie, and Alard Jones of Dallas; 38 grandchildren, 63 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; one brother and three sisters.
