Clifford N. Jones Sr.

Clifford N. Jones Sr., a resident of Mabank and former resident of Terrell, died Saturday, April 6, in a Kaufman hospital. Funeral services were held from the Anderson-Clayton Bros. Funeral Home Chapel in Terrell at 10 a.m. Monday with Rev. Don Teague officiating. Interment was in Oakland Memorial Park in Terrell.

Clifford Neil Jones was born in the Prairieville community in Kaufman County on Sept. 22, 1911, a son of the late Neil Isaac Jones and Julie Guy Jones. He was raised in the Prairieville community and lived there until 1945. He moved to Terrell in 1954 where he lived until returning to Prairieville in the 1960´s. He attended East Texas State University and served in the U. S. Army during World War II. He was a 37-year member of Alcoholics Anonymous. He is survived by Ruth Simpson; three sons; many grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother; two sisters; and many relatives.
