The last earthly respects were paid Rev. J. A. Irby last Tuesday afternoon by a large crowd of his friends from here, Mabank, Eustace, Pickens, Bethel, Stockard and Elm Grove. Rev. Irby was one man who had not an enemy. He was always optimistic, smiling, and ever ready to help the needy in word and deed; never knocked but always boosted. We can sincerely and honestly pay him the highest tribute that can be paid a minister of the gospel-he practiced what he preached. We extend our syumpathy to bereaved ones for their loss, but we rejoice with them that there is a better place prepared for such as he.
