Ollie Annie GRIFFIN

From the Dallas Times Herald,
Sat. Dec.13, 1986:

"Ollie Annie Griffin, 96, of Dallas, a retired nurse, died Thursday. Survivers include daughter, Reba Williams of Dallas; sister Daisy Ivy of Dallas. Services were scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Anderson-Clayton Bros. Funeral Chapel in Mesquite with burial at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Seagoville."


Ollie Anne Thomas was the daughter of James Franklin Thomas and Dosha Rebecca Hays. The Thomas Family is included as F395, on page 366 in The History of Kaufman County. On Feb. 14, 1912 she married William Dowell Griffin in Kaufman County. They had two, maybe three children by 1919, and were divorced there in 1931. William Dowell Griffin was a brother of my ggf, Thomas Henry Griffin. William Dowell Griffin died Jan. 8, 1941 and is buried near his mother Bitha Griffin and sister Nannie B. Easterly in Lone Oak Cem. near Kemp.
