
Robert L. Barnes obituaryTri-County News, Mr. Robert Lee Barnes of 500 Kirben, Waxahachie, Texas died Saturday in a Waxahachie hospital. Mr. Barnes was a native of the Tolosa community. He was born in Kaufman County on November 10, 1915, the son of Mr. Rollie Hill and Mrs. Effie Barnes. Mr. Barnes was educated in the Kaufman County Public Schools. He was retired from the U.S. Navy after 22 years service, retiring in 1957. Mr. Barnes was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church at Capp City. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Robert L. Barnes of Waxahachie, Texas; one son, Mr. Patrick Barnes of Braintree, Mass.; one sister, Mrs. Inetha Acuion of New Orleans, La.; four grandchildren and other relatives. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, September 4, from Anderson-Clayton Chapel in Kemp with Dr. Royce Measures officiating. Interment was in Kemp Cemetery. Pallbearers were Tyson Barnes, Horace Pritchett, J. W. Barnes, Arvil Pritchett, William Johnson and Leslie Barnes. Anderson-Clayton Funeral Home in Kemp was in charge of arrangements. |
