Texas Masonic membership research

As a family researcher have you often wondered about members of your family that were members of the Masonic order in Texas?  The Grand Lodge of Texas, A.F, & A. M. has made changes in their bylaws that now allows for the research of The Masonic Grand Lodge Library & Museum of Texas records of its deceased members.  This may be done in two ways; at no cost by visiting The Masonic Grand Lodge Library & Museum of Texas in Waco, Texas in person and doing the research yourself or by going to

and clicking on the "Note to Genealogist" link on the homepage.  Download the Masonic Record Search Request Form and send a check or money order for $10.00 and a Self Addressed Stamped Envelope for each request to The Masonic Grand Lodge Library & Museum of Texas (address on request form) and they will search the records for you.
