My Dear Sister,

Received your letter and if the world had come to an end would not have been more startled.  It hurt me more than words can tell.  I thought the world of Warren and often admitted to myself that he was the best one of us all.

Gladly would I change places with him this instant.  He had everything in front of him and was sure to make his mark.  Do you think Warren every had any trouble with that fellow?  I know Papa hates it the worst in the world.  It certainly was a shock to every one I cannot seem to believe it.  I am all alone in my grief.  I think of you all this night and hope there is such a thing as seeing him in another world.  I feel as if I never want to see Texas again after such a shock as this.  Well Sissy I don't know anything to say that would comfort you all but my heart opens to you all.  I did not get to see Mr. Roddy (Mabel's husband).  I wrote you about it in a letter just ahead of this one.  Well I will write a few lines to Papa.  Much love to everyone and bushels for your self.

Your Bro,

Clarence Williams

P.S. How is Frank?  Hope he is all O.K.  let me know where to write .
