Telethia Elon Hightower was born 24 Jul 1824 in Walton Co., GA, died 8 Nov 1906 in Soper, Choctaw, OK.  She was the daughter of Charnell C. Hightower Sr., & Elon Watts.   She married Stephen Nathaniel Sanders in 1842 in MS.  They lived in Kaufman Co., TX until Stephen died.  They raised 12 children:  Mary Ellen, Richard Joseph "Jock", Permelia C., George W., John, Elizabeth, Infant, James M., Stephen Jr., Iva, Joseph Samuel, & Sarah.  Husband Stephen is buried at Blackland-Sanders Cemetery in Kaufman Co., TX.
