John & Priscilla married 27 May 1888.  She was first married to J. C. Phillips on 28 Jun 1878.

Priscilla was the daughter of John Pyle and Elizabeth Jeems.  She is mentioned in her father's will dated August 6, 1868.  He died January 6, 1869 and the will was probated April 31, 1870.  Upon his death John Pyle intended for his 3 younger children to be cared for by his daughter Charity Ann Smith.  Priscilla is shown on page 105, Kaufman PO, Kaufman County, Texas 1870 Census living in the household with Charity and James Smith.  Her name is listed as "Silla".

Priscilla's half-brother, Jonathan Pyle and his family are on the same census page.  Martha, Priscilla's older sister, is living in Jonathan's household.
