Mary and Lewis Clemmons were my gr-gr-gr-grandparents, originally from Tennessee who emigrated to Kaufman Co. in the 1800's.  I don't know much about them yet,  except that Lewis Tom Clemmons was a Pvt. during the Civil War, serving in the 32nd TN. Infantry, Co. E.  He was also a Wagon Maker by trade.  Lewis and many other of our Clemmons/Clemons' are buried in Kaufman Co., Elmo and Campground Cemeteries (mostly in Elmo).
