Comments:The first known record of JOHN W. COTTON appears in the 1880 Kaufman Co., TX - US Fed. Census. According to DNA Y-Chromosome testing the ancestors and descendants of JOHN W. COTTON are not blood related to the WEAVER ALEXANDER COTTON who also settled in Kaufman Co., Texas. MARTHA M. WEAVER was the grand daughter of CASPER & REBECCA WEAVER early settlers of Kaufman Co., Texas. In the 1930 Palo Pinto Co., TX - US Fed. Census MARTHA M.
