Rockwall, Kaufman County, Texas Book 1 Page 188 No 136 The State of Texas Kaufman County: Know all men by these presents that I D.J. & W.P. Thomas for and in consideration of the sum of Thirty Dollars to us in hand paid by Soloman Fletcher. The receipt is hereby acknowledged have this day bargained sold a leined and released and by these presents (?) doth grant bargain sell at in release unto said Fletcher all the right title claim and interest that we have unto Three Town lots in the Town of Rockwall and county and state aforesaid Lots cituated in Block marked S. and lots No one (1) and four (4) also Lot No one (1) in block marked R. now we D.J. & W.P. Thomas doth forever warrant and defend the title to the above described Town Lots. Against the claims of ourselves, our heirs or assigns unto the said Fletcher and his heirs. In evidence of which we have here unto set our hands and seal using a scroll for a seal This Sept. 24th A.D. 1855. Signature in presence of D.J. Thomas (Seal) |
