Volunteer to Transcribe a portion of
the Kaufman County census

TexShare Online Databases

The TX State Library and Archives TexShare Online Databases are available to registered card holders of participating Texas libraries.  Access to the databases is also available from your home or office.  One of the many databases available is HeritageQuest Online which has images of census records!  Visit the TX State Library and Archives and contact your local reference librarian for more information.

Please help to make the Kaufman County Census Records available through this website by transcribing a portion of the census (see below).  If you already have a page or pages from the census, you can transcribe those and send them to me (it doesn't matter if you only have one page of a section, every page helps).  I have images of the 1900 census pages for Kaufman County; if you would like to volunteer for a section of 1900 and would like the images, please let me know.  You will need to obtain copies of the pages you would like to transcribe for other census year.  See NARA: Genealogy -- Census Records and Kaufman County Census Records for information on how to get copies.  If you have Word or a similar word processing program, I can provide you with a template to fill out to aid in the transcription.  To volunteer, e-mail Abby Balderama at kaufmantxgenweb @ pacbell.net.
