**Sharrock Family History
Berry's great-grandfather, James Sharrock, was a Methodist Minister & a Revolutionary War soldier from New York, who moved to Ohio circa 1790.  His son John Watson Sharrock & wife, Priscilla Ballard had a family and moved to Madison Co., MO.  Three of their sons, George Washington (married Sarah Elliott KNOWLES and Nancy "Dollie" (HIGH) BALLARD), Francis Marion (married Parmelia Cornelia KNOWLES and Narcissa Jane (BECK) DENNINGTON -- they were divorced) & James Buchanan came to Kaufman Co TX in 1876.  The house that James Buchanan Sharrock built his family in 1888 - the house Berry Sharrock was born in - is still standing on his old homestead.
