Directions: From Kaufman Square proceed east on Hiway 243 to intersection with Hiway 34. Turn left (north) and proceed to where road forks with FM 2728. Turn northward on FM 2728 and proceed to where it intersects / combines with FM 429 and Interstae 20. Cross over the Interstae 20 bridge and turn back onto FM 2728 to the northeast for 2.4 miles to where it intersects with Hiway 80. Turn right (east) for 1.5 miles to Co. Rd. 316 and turn right (south). Proceed 1.3 miles to the cemetery on the east side of the road.
Earliest grave is Mollie Price, a former slave, born 1800 who died in 1914. "Uncle Hense" Hardin, another former slave, who died at the age of 114 is also buried here, as are several persons who served in bondage. Earliest marked grave is 1888, that of Edward Hardin.
There is a Stone Monument in the graveyard which reads: "Lanes Chappell C M E Church, rebuilt 1913, Rev R T Jackson, W C Thomas, Rev. R H Thomas, E B Roberts, C V Lane, F W White, V Williams, M L Punch, N C Coleman and W Roberts"
