PLEASANT SPRINGS CEMETERY

Also Known as the "Briscoe Family Graveyard"

LOCATION:
Accessible only with permission from property owners.

HISTORY:
Land for the cemetery was donated by A M Agnew.  Earliest marked grave is that of Isaac Briscoe in 1864.  Briscoe & family were some of the earliest inhabitants of the area in northern Kaufman County & in what is now southern Rockwall County.

CONDITION:
Site was fenced by descendant, J D Briscoe and other family members in 1990 and the site has been maintained by them since that time.  New tombstones have been added to some of the graves in 1996 and in 2001 after original ones were taken or destroyed by vandals.
