History: According to local historian, Irene Lowry Griffin, who has lived in the area for more than 80 years, the site was used predominately for burials of local Hispanics; however, there are a few Caucasian burials, as well as some Chinese men who died from an epidemic while working on the Texas-Midland railroad in the 1890's. According to Irene Griffin, there were at least 30 graves with markers on the site when she last visited there in the 1ate 1960's. There is only one remaining tombstone on the site and it is enclosed by an old iron fence: ![]() The only Tombstone remaining at the Old Mexican Graveyard near Rosser in 1999.
