Lone Elm Cemetery

Also known as the Shipley Cemetery
Kaufman County Texas

Located north of I-20 in the Lone Elm Community

Condition:  Deplorable.  Cattle have trampled the area and broken 90% of the tombstones.  The property's owners have not tried to keep their livestock off the gravesite & the condition of the site deteriorates with each passing year.  There is an effort underway by the descendants of the interred to rectify the situation by putting a fence up around the graves.
