| The Kaufman County Historical Commission's priority project for 1999-2000
is to locate burials within the county and in sites within a 1 mile area
of the county's boundary lines. I welcome anyone who has an OBITUARY
or BIBLE RECORD of a relative or ancestor buried in Kaufman Co. to send
the info to me via e-mail, especially if they know that person is buried
in an unmarked grave. I also would like to know of any small or family burial sites that may be on private property within this county or within a 1 mile radius thereof. Our goal is to have a complete listing that can be indexed & placed in the local libraries (along with photographs that can be copied) for genealogical research. All submitted names of persons who died here will be included in the master list, even if you do not know where they are buried, if an obituary or Bible record is sent to me. Also, anyone with ancestors buried in Kaufman County who would like to Sponsor a BURIAL SITE or CEMETERY for "Texas Historic Designation", they are welcome to contact me. Thank You.
